Explanation of Axle Mass Adjustment Std, CML & HML
This is an explanation of how mass adjustments work under all systems from standard weights through from CML to HML
There is a mass adjustment of
250Kg's per weigh on Gross Weights
300 Kgs on the Steer Axle
500 Kgs on All Tri Axle Groups
This is not a tolerance it is an adjustment to allow for the difference in weighbridges and you should at all times stay within the statutory limits and should at no time attempt to use this as a tolerance.
To Read our table there are some things to consider
Measured Mass
Measured Mass is the actual weight of the vehicle and is the weight dispalyed on the screen of a weighbridge when you drive onto a weighbridge such as the NSW installations like Marulan, Mt White, Mt Boyce, Chinderah or the 12 Mile.
Allowable Mass
Allowable Mass is the statutory weight which is the limit of your gross or axle weights. These are the weights you should target remembering that you stay within your gross.
Assessed Mass
Assessed Mass is the weight that is assessed following the mass adjustment being added in.
Special Note
If your assessed mass is higher than your allowable mass you will reeive an infringement notice for that amount
Increment Infringement
Study this column and note the difference in the Measured Mass and The Assessed Mass and take note of the infringement increment and you will notice the Mass Adjustment has been added in to make up the assessed mass.
